The Full Story
What a journey it has been to get here. It wasn't easy, quick or even very fun at times.
But it was good.
Hi. I'm Emily.
Creator of The Chronicles of Emunah.
I grew up in Lake Wales, Florida in the middle of orange grove fields and alligator-filled lakes. Reading was my doorway to other worlds and I loved escaping into new stories. The road to writing my first novel has been a long one, full of twists and turns. After college, I hit a dead end with the life I was building for myself and I decided to do something a little different, I would (actually) seek God's will this time. This led me on a series of long-term mission trips that completely altered the trajectory of my life.
I won't spend much time talking about what happened while on these trips, there are still many books to come that will cover those events. To say my eyes were opened in awe and wonder of this world is an understatement. I made life-long friends, tried strange foods and traveled on horseback to remote areas. My view of the world and my place in it changed significantly, and in my opinion, for the better.

I currently live in Little Rock, Arkansas with my husband and work as a virtual assistant while taking classes to complete my MDiv degree. Whenever I have a free moment, I dream up the contents of my next novel and am slowly putting those ideas to paper.

Mission
I worked with an organization called Adventures in Missions from July of 2016 until June of 2019. Through this organization I was able to travel the world and experience all kinds of new cultures and experiences. Over the course of three years, I traveled through 11 countries in South America, 1 in Africa, 6 in Europe and 10 in Asia. Once my time overseas came to an end, I began turning my journal entries into stories. Hazel Atlas and the Doorway to Ohr is the very beginning of The Chronicles of Emunah.
Vision
My life began when I surrendered it. The more I grew in my faith, the greater freedom I experienced. I am excited to share my tesimony with others in the form of a fiction fantasy and I hope it inspires my readers to carve out their own adventures of faith!
