The Chronicles of Emunah

A NOVEL BY EMILY SPENCER KANE

THE REAL LIFE FAITH BEHIND THE FANTASY

-AVAILABLE NOW-

Hazel's ordinary life vanishes instantly on the night of the accident. Thrown from the path of a swerving vehicle, Hazel is miraculously spared. Her older brother Emmett is not so lucky.

Right before she passes out, Hazel catches sight of the stranger who pushed her out of the way, a dark hooded figure with glowing hands. But of the two, why save her? As Emmett is overcome by pain and anger, Hazel’s guilt pushes her to find answers and hopefully, a way to help him before it’s too late. Her search leads her to a doorway that opens to an unseen realm layered on top of earth.

Suddenly propelled outside of all she knows, Hazel finds herself in the middle of a tug-of-war between the ancient powers of good and evil. She must dig deeper than she ever has before in search of the truth that will change her life forever.

LOCAL BOOK SIGNING

What a fun time going back home to Florida and kicking off this fall season with my first signing event! I spent Saturday Oct. 26th at Kathryn's Christian Bookstore seeing old friends and meeting new ones. On Sunday, I spoke at South Lake Wales Church of God and shared more about my testimony and the work God has been doing through this book. You can purchase a copy of Hazel Atlas locally at Kathryn's Christian Bookstore in Lake Wales, FL or order online using the links above.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

The world of Ohr is a believable, imaginative, imaginable world. Hazel's inner struggle is relatable in many ways. Her interactions with the Commander, Imman, and Ari were each unique yet clearly pictured the three persons of the Trinity without being preachy or overbearing. Her interactions with them made me, as a reader, long for my own closer relationship with God.

Your book reminds me of when I read the Chronicles of Narnia; it is an exciting book that tugs at your heart and gets a message across.

It’s rare for me to become deeply invested in characters, but that’s exactly what happened as I immersed myself in this story. I found myself eager to see the story unfold with each chapter and I can’t wait to see this world, and these characters, grow in the stories to come.

In 2016, Emily faced her fears of the unknown by leaving her home and answering the call to mission work overseas. Three years, five continents and thirty countries later she returned brimming with countless memories of miraculous encounters, rich culture, thrilling adventures and inspiring people.

Now, telling her experiences in her own unique way, Emily uses fantastical allegory to capture the major themes of her life. She hopes that these stories bring people of all walks of life together, trusting that anything is possible when you know who to turn to and reaching deep within to find the courage you didn't know was there.
